What if you could get bulletproof?

Imagine two worlds...  

One world is filled with challenges and struggles. It's a world where you might experience frequent conflict and crisis. In this world you feel overwhelmed, tired, maybe even isolated or discouraged as a leader. 

The other world, however, is filled with opportunities and is refreshing and invigorating. It's a world where you experience clarity, courage, and confidence despite what's happening around you. In this world, you feel equipped; and prepared for the journey. You are ready to lead yourself and your team.

Both these worlds exist -- they are real. The first world is the default. It's what's chosen for us -- if we allow it. The second world, however,  is what it feels like to be bulletproof. It's not chosen for us, but we can chose it!

Being bulletproof is about being resilient, being clear, and being courageous.. And one way that I've discovered to get bulletproof is to get out in the mountains.  It creates alignment, and a feeling of connection: 

• connected to your faith 
• connected with your purpose
• connected to your future

A few years ago I started inviting other men in leadership to join me in the mountains . These are men leading businesses, building brands, shepherding  churches, or equipping teams. They represent all walks of life, sharing a common bond of leadership, and the desire to shape the future.

Something profound happened to me personally beyond just a solo retreat. The connections I wanted, the clarity I needed, the courage I longed for - they were all multiplied. The bond and encouragement that resulted gave me and these other men a taste of what it feels like to be bulletproof. It's why we go back every spring.

This year we are expanding it. We know more leaders and leadership teams need this. And you are invited.

Think about it this way. Each day prepares us for the next. And this incredible week that we have planned in Colorado is intended to help you get bulletproof as a leader for the future.  Being bulletproof is a choice, and it can start by saying "yes" to this week.

A bulletproof future starts with a renewed you.

Why?

Because YOU are the primary player of your future. Your future can’t exist without you. That's why you need to lead bulletproof.

To "lead bulletproof" is a mindset -- and it's a lifestyle. I encourage you to block off this week and be intentional in coming. Recognize that when you are with just a few others who share common leadership values, you get more clarity, you find new levels of courage, and you start the next leg of your journey connected and supported.

Think about it. When you take a vacation, or you retreat away for a day, you want to come back restored, refreshed, and ready. Part of that “ready” is to have new insights. We can seize our future only by shaping our present. That’s why, becoming bulletproof matters.

This time in the mountains give us an opportunity to reset our intentions, to let go of our inhibitions, seize new beginnings, and, for those of Faith, to hear God's whisper.
